CHAPTER 301
AN ACT TO REMOVE THE SUNSET ON THE VICTIMS COMPENSATION ACT.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. Section 6 of Chapter 832 of the 1983 Session Laws reads as rewritten:
"Sec. 6. This act shall become effective when funds are
appropriated by the General Assembly to the Department of Crime Control and
Public Safety to implement the provisions of this act. No claims may be filed
under this act for criminally injurious conduct occurring before the effective
date of this act act. or after December 31, 1991. Moneys
remaining after payment of claims under this Chapter shall revert to the
General Fund on July 1, 1993. This act is repealed effective July 1, 1993."
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
