HOUSE BILL 316

 

 

AN ACT TO ALLOW THE TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH TO BE DIVIDED INTO MORE THAN ONE PRECINCT AND TO VALIDATE ELECTIONS AND ACTIONS OF THAT TOWN.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  Section 6 of Chapter 279, Session Laws of 1947, as rewritten by Section 2 of 397, Session Laws of 1967, is repealed.

Sec. 2.  All elections, ordinances, levy of taxes and other official acts of the Town of Hillsborough since June 29, 1976, are validated, notwithstanding the fact that the Town of Hillsborough has been in more than one election precinct since that date.

Sec. 3.  This act is effective upon ratification.
