HOUSE BILL 244

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 713, SESSION LAWS OF 1965, AS AMENDED, BEING THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CHARLOTTE, RELATING TO PROPER NOTICE OF DAMAGES IN MAKING A CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1. Section 9.01, Subchapter A of Chapter IX of Chapter 713, Session Laws of 1965, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding immediately after the words "City Council" the words "or Mayor, City Manager and/or City Attorney".

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
