HOUSE BILL 1212

 

 

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF HIGHLANDS TO CONVEY CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AT PRIVATE SALE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The governing body of the Town of Highlands is hereby authorized, in its discretion, to sell and convey to the U. S. Forestry Service at private sale without advertisement a parcel of land more particularly described as follows:

"All the land described in a deed from W. P. Hedden and wife Ruby Hedden and John Q. Hedden and wife Selma Hedden to the Town of Highlands, a Municipal Corporation, dated October 1, 1940, and recorded in the office of Register of Deeds for Macon County, North Carolina, in Deed Book F-5, page 59, lying and being in Highlands Township, Macon County, North Carolina, and containing 100 acres, be the same more or less."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 16th day of June, 1967.
