AN ACT RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, SHERIFF, CLERK OF SUPERIOR COURT AND REGISTER OF DEEDS OF RICHMOND COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The annual salary of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Richmond County, including his salary as Judge of the Juvenile Court, shall be increased ten per centum (10%) effective July 1, 1967, and an additional ten per centum (10%) effective July 1, 1968. The annual salary of the Register of Deeds of said County shall be increased ten per centum (10%) on July 1, 1967 and shall be increased an additional ten per centum (10%) on July 1, 1968. The annual salary of the Sheriff of said County, including the compensation authorized by Chapter 498 of the 1961 Session Laws for his services in connection with the County jail, shall be increased ten per centum (10%) on July 1, 1967, and shall be increased an additional ten per centum (10%) on July 1, 1968. The annual salary of the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners shall be eighteen hundred dollars ($1800.00), payable monthly. The annual salary of each member of the Board of Commissioners of said County shall be twelve hundred dollars ($1200.00), payable monthly. The annual salary of the Judge and the Solicitor of the Recorder's Court of Hamlet District and the Judge and Solicitor of the Richmond County Special Court may be increased in the discretion of the Board of County Commissioners of said County.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective July 1, 1967.
