HOUSE BILL 155

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO STREET IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF ROCKINGHAM.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. That any and all acts heretofore done and steps taken by the City of Rockingham in the paving of streets and laying curb and gutters on the streets of the City of Rockingham within the past three years are hereby in all respects approved, confirmed and validated. All assessments heretofore levied by the City for such improvements made within the past three years are hereby in all respects approved and confirmed; and the City of Rockingham is authorized and empowered to make like assessments and levies for such street improvements where such levies have not heretofore been made against the abutting property, provided that notice shall first be given as provided by G. S. 160-87 and provided further that such levies shall not be in excess of one-half the costs per front foot as provided by G. S. 160-85.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
