SENATE BILL 7

 

 

AN ACT TO PROVIDE PER DIEM COMPENSATION AND ALLOWANCES FOR MEMBERS OF THE SELECT COMMITTEES OF THE SENATE AND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ON REAPPORTIONMENT AND REDISTRICTING.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  The members of the General Assembly appointed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives to serve on the Select Committee of the Senate on the Redistricting and Reapportionment of the Senate, the Select Committee of the House of Representatives on the Redistricting and Reapportionment of the House of Representatives, and the Joint Select Committee of the House of Representatives and the Senate on Congressional Redistricting, shall be entitled to receive for their services on those Committees between December 8, 1965 and January 9, 1966, per diem compensation and travel and subsistence allowances at the rates provided in G.S. 138-5 for members of State boards and commissions, such payments to be made out of the appropriation for the operation of the General Assembly.

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its ratification.
