AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES THE SUM OF $285,000 FROM THE HIGHWAY FUND TO BE USED FOR DEFRAYING EXPENSES INCURRED IN REFLECTORIZING LICENSE PLATES FOR 1967.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  There is hereby appropriated to the Department of Motor Vehicles from the Highway Fund the sum of one hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($175,000) for the fiscal year 1965-1966 and two hundred eighty-four thousand four hundred twenty dollars ($284,420) for the fiscal year 1966-1967. Funds hereby appropriated are to be used for the purpose of causing vehicle license plates for 1967 to be completely treated with reflectorized materials designed to increase the visibility and legibility of license plates at night and for the purpose of causing such license plates for 1968 for commercial and non-passenger vehicles to be completely treated with reflectorized materials designed to increase visibility and legibility of license plates at night.

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective July 1, 1965.
