SENATE BILL 32

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE SALARY OF THE CLERK OF SUPERIOR COURT, REGISTER OF DEEDS AND SHERIFF OF IREDELL COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Iredell County is hereby authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to fix the salary of the Clerk of Superior Court, the Register of Deeds and the Sheriff of Iredell County in an amount not less than five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) annually. The maximum salary for the Clerk of Superior Court and the Sheriff of Iredell County shall not exceed seven thousand eight hundred dollars ($7,800.00) annually, and the maximum salary of the Register of Deeds of Iredell County shall not exceed seven thousand two hundred dollars ($7,200.00) annually.

Sec. 2. Chapter 651, Session Laws of 1959, and all other laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect on and after July 1, 1965.
