AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF SNOW HILL TO EMPLOY PERSONS AS POLICEMEN WHO ARE NOT QUALIFIED VOTERS THEREOF.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The governing body of the Town of Snow Hill is hereby authorized and empowered to employ, as chief of police and other police officers of the town, persons who reside outside of the corporate limits of the municipality and who are not qualified voters thereof.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws, and in particular G. S. 160-25, to the extent that such laws are in conflict with the provisions of this Act, are repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
