HOUSE BILL 21

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE CHAIRMAN AND OF THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ASHE COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Ashe County is hereby authorized and empowered to fix the annual salary of its chairman and the annual salaries of its other members; provided that the annual salary of the chairman shall not exceed nine hundred dollars ($900.00) and the annual salary of each of the other members shall be equal and shall not exceed six hundred dollars ($600.00) each and that the salaries so fixed shall be in full of all compensation for all services of said county commissioners in all capacities. The salaries so fixed shall be paid out of the general fund of the county at such times and intervals as the board of county commissioners shall determine.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification and govern salaries of said commissioners for the year ending December 1, 1963, and thereafter.
