AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ALEXANDER COUNTY TO APPROPRIATE NONTAX FUNDS FOR INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of Commissioners of Alexander County is hereby authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to appropriate and expend from any surplus funds coming into their hands, other than funds derived from taxation, a sum not to exceed three thousand dollars ($3,000.00) per year for the purpose of industrial development of the county by attracting new and diversified industries to said county and for the encouragement of new business and industrial ventures, and for the purpose of aiding and encouraging the location of manufacturing enterprises and locating industrial plants in said county. Such funds may also be applied for the conservation development area of said county for the purposes set forth in this Act if deemed necessary.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective from and after its ratification.
