AN ACT APPOINTING MEMBERS OF THE MADISON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION AND FIXING THEIR TERMS OF OFFICE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. B. K. Meadows, Zeno H. Ponder and J. G. Gardner shall be and are hereby appointed members of the Madison County Board of Education.

Sec. 2. The terms of office of the present members of the Madison County Board of Education shall terminate on the third Monday in March, 1961, and the terms of office of the persons named as members of the board in Section 1 of this Act shall begin on the third Monday in March, 1961, and shall continue for the term of four years thereafter and until their successors shall be duly elected and qualified.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its ratification.
