AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 122‑50 RELATING TO RECORDS OF ALLEGEDLY MENTALLY DISORDERED PERSONS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  Section 122‑50 of the General Statutes of North Carolina is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following: "Provided, that when a mentally disordered person who is a resident of this State is committed in some county other than the county of his residence, the Clerk of Superior Court in the county of such person's residence shall maintain the records specified in this Section upon receipt of a certified copy of such records from the Clerk of the Superior Court of the county of commitment."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
