AN ACT TO CREATE A BIRD SANCTUARY WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF MAGNOLIA, IN DUPLIN COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. From and after the ratification of this Act, all that territory embraced within the territorial limits of the Town of Magnolia, in Duplin County, shall be a bird sanctuary.

Sec. 2. From and after the ratification of this Act, it shall be unlawful for any person to hunt, kill or trap any birds within the territorial limits referred to in Section I of this Act. Any person violating the provisions of this Section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
